A new musical event comes to Eastern North Carolina on October 19th
…the exciting African sounds of Daili Cissokoho & Kaira Ba. When they
emigrated from Senegal to North Carolina, they initiated a musical
collaboration hoping to bridge the Atlantic, connecting worlds
thousands of miles apart but bound by a shared history. Over the past
eight years, Diali and Kaira Ba have produced multiple albums while
touring extensively in North Carolina and America. In 2014, the band
was nominated for the prestigious All Africa Music Award (AFRIMA) in
the category “Best African Group” for their album. In 2018 the band
released  Routes , recorded in both North Carolina and Senegal.

Save the date: October 19 th , Epiphany School of Global Studies, New
Bern Campus…..an evening of lively African music, dance and
refreshments.
