Meetings and Conventions
Craven County takes pride in hosting successful meetings! Amidst a beautiful setting of Historic New Bern and Havelock, North Carolina, we offer first-class facilities combined with outstanding group service.

Accommodating groups from 10 to 1300, a variety of facilities are available for conventions, meetings, trade shows, reunions, weddings and special events.

The New Bern Riverfront Convention Center puts you at the heart of the downtown historic New Bern with a beautiful view of the Neuse and Trent Rivers. Once inside, you'll find a state-of-the-art 45,000-square-foot meeting facility. The center is connected by a beautiful river walkway to 271 overnight guest rooms, with another 600 in close proximity.

The Sheraton New Bern Hotel & Marina has a full-service conference center that can accommodate all types of meetings. It is located just steps away from the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center. The Sheraton New Bern Hotel & Marina features 171 guest rooms and flexible meeting space for groups up to 500.

Additional New Bern facilities are available for special event venues, receptions or small meetings such as The Sudan Temple, Grover C. Fields Middle School, Craven Community College, First Baptist Family Life Center, The Chelsea Restaurant, Tryon Palace Historic Sites & Gardens, the Attmore-Oliver House, Knights of Columbus Hall, the New Bern Women's Club and more.

Havelock Tourist & Event Center
The Havelock Tourist Center, a multipurpose meeting facility that can accommodate up to 600, features an aviation exhibit that highlights Marine Corps aviation in Eastern North Carolina. Four aircraft on loan from the United States Marine Corps and Department of the Navy will be on display, along with several static exhibits featuring local aviation "aces." The Havelock Tourist Center Complex includes a waterfront park along Slocum Creek featuring a nature boardwalk and boat ramp.

Sudan Temple
Sudan Shriners established in 1917, and one of New Bern’s historic landmarks, is located downtown at the corner of Broad and East Front Streets overlooking the scenic Neuse River. The Shrine plays an important role in New Bern’s downtown historical charm as an alternative location for business meetings, expos, trade shows and other activities.

 

Inns Of New Bern
Historic Bed & Breakfast accommodations with unique meeting facilities for groups from 6-20 in the historic downtown and convenient to convention center and waterfront. Total of 6 Inns collaborating to offer 40 charming rooms for not only lodging, but quiet hospitality rooms and options for hosting small groups for formal meetings, luncheons, weddings and special event venues. Perfect for that committee meeting or board meeting, while attending a conference at the Craven County Convention Center and/or Sheraton. Also available: Off site meeting accommodations for groups of 30-50.

The Sparrow House
Available meeting space for up to 10 people in a Riverfront setting on East Front Street in the heart of historic downtown New Bern. High speed wireless or wired internet connections are provided. The Sparrow House can be booked for small groups to stay overnight or for several nights during their visit to New Bern. Please call 252-637-3574 for more information.
