Description:
Art comes alive at the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center. Painters, sculptors, musicians, actors and so much more will be on hand; and Craven Arts Council promises fun and an art experience for the whole family.
Visitors will watch artists at work, participate in workshops, take part in interactive art projects and be artists themselves. Sculptors will be creating new pieces while other artists offer live demonstrations and workshops. Children can take part in clay and printmaking activities.
Artist booths will include handmade jewelry, painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, sculpture, pottery, fiber arts and furniture, most of which will be available for purchase. There also will be performances by Eastern North Carolina theatre, dance and musical groups. Nonprofit arts organizations will be on hand to share information.
Admission:
There are fees for the workshops, and the wine tasting party is a ticketed event. The rest of the fun is free.
