Craven Arts Festival  |  Sept. 29 & 30, 2012

The Craven Arts Festival is a weekend full of art and creativity that helps support the arts in eastern North Carolina. Visit the New Bern Riverfront Convention Center September 29 and 30 to explore the work of regional artists, including handmade jewelry, painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, sculpture, pottery, fiber arts and furniture. Watch artists at work, participate in workshops, take part in interactive art projects, and purchase art in a variety of mediums. The weekend will also feature community constructed outdoor sculpture projects, Children’s Day interactive art projects, stage performances, and information booths. Meanwhile, Saturday’s Bernie Awards and wine tasting will give you the opportunity to stimulate the senses and celebrate those who make a difference in our culture environment.

SeaFair Mega Yacht Venue  |  Oct. 12 - 14, 2012

The SeaFair Mega Yacht will arrive at the New Bern Grand Marina and remain dockside during MUMFEST October 12-14. SeaFair, the world’s first mobile Mega Yacht venue, pairs international fine art, jewelry and collectables with harbor view dining and special events. This 228 foot, privately owned yacht built by internationally-acclaimed designer Luiz De Basto is a captivating opportunity to explore a $40 million venue filled with luxury items. Tour individual exhibit spaces, explore an open-air champagne and caviar lounge, dine in an open-air restaurant, or sample beverages from the coffee bar. Tickets are $10 for a one-day pass, or $20 for a priority multiple-day pass.

Arts Ahoy MUMFEST  |  Oct. 11, 2012, From 5 - 7:30pm

First View Cocktail Reception on SeaFair.

In addition to the first look at the bevy of art on board, guests of the First View will enjoy complimentary wine and champagne paired with passed hors d'oeuvres, live music and art events.

The evening continues from 7:30 – 9pm with the Collectors’ Invitational Reception. The New Bern Art Fest Gala on Board of SeaFair, October 11, benefits the Craven Arts Council & Gallery and the Swiss Bear Downtown Development Corp.
